The offensive bauble in question

It was the Christmas bauble from hell. Hmm, I guess when you decorate it with George Bush impeachment messages it’s a pretty much as good as banned.Laura Bush must of just about choked on her eggnog seeing that little ball emerge from the Fed-Ex package. Every year artists from all over America are asked to submit an ornament to adorn the White House Christmas tree. This year artist Deborah Lawrence was invited to submit a 9? ornament despite saying  “I was at first nauseated” but then “realized it was an opportunity,”. The pretty little design featured red and white stripes and a picture of Jim McDermott (a big Bush foe) with winding glued on text hailing the impeachment resolution . Needless to say it wont be appearing on the White House Christmas tree anytime soon. of the 370 Christmas ornaments submitted it is understood Deborah’s was the only one banned.Sally McDonough, a spokeswoman for the first lady said “I think it really is a shame and, quite frankly, not very much in the holiday spirit” (hmm, well neither is stuffing up the economy). Ms Lawrence’s response “Oh dear,this doesn’t really surprise me. But it’s disappointing that I won’t get to see it on the tree.” Ah, never you mind Deborah, just chuck it up on eBay.
